DCHC participates YEP MED final conference and welcome delegation of countries participating in the container terminal
𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗿. 𝗥𝗮𝗳𝗶𝗸 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗹 - Executive Managing Director of Damietta Container & Cargo Handling Co. attended the activities of the 𝗬𝗘𝗣 𝗠𝗘𝗗 final conference, which was held on 23-24 July 2023 in Ras El Bar, in the presence of 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗹. 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗮 𝗜𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹 - Head of the Maritime Transport Sector, 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗹. 𝗔𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗵 - Chairman of the Damietta Port Authority, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗮 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗶 - Dean of the Port Training Institute, 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗹. 𝗠𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗺 - Secretary General of the Governorate Damietta, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗔𝗸𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗻 - Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), 𝗠𝗿. 𝗘𝗱𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗥𝗵𝗼𝗱𝗲𝘀 - President of the European School of Multimodal Transport (Escola) and Project Manager, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗘𝘀𝗺𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝗹-𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗶 - Coordinator of the Foundation for Cross-Border Cooperation in the Mediterranean of the European Union (ENI).
In his speech during the conference, His Excellency stressed that the company is keen to cooperate with the rest of the parties to provide all kinds of support necessary for the success of the project by training a number of participants in the program for a period of three months, and provided them with practical experience in the company's various sectors.
𝗗𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 as one of the most important container terminals in the Mediterranean basin spares no effort in the field of community participation, including providing practical training for university students in various disciplines.
On the second day of the conference, a delegation from the participating foreign countries visited 𝗗𝗖𝗛𝗖 (𝗗𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 & 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗼 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼.) and reviewed the current development projects, which would increase the capacity of the terminal from 1.3 to 1.8 million TEUs annually, an increase of about 40%, The delegation also visited the terminal births and yards to know about the operating system, and the conference was attended by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗳𝗶𝗾 - Head of the Movement Sector, and 𝗗𝗿. 𝗔𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗞𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗹 - General Manager of Strategic Planning and marketing at the company.
