DCHC continues to transport containers by railway train

In continuation of the activation of multimodal transport and in implementation of the plan of the Ministry of Transport to maximize the reliance on multimodal transport, especially rail transport, in the transport of containers and goods in order to reduce the loads on land roads and thus reduce the cost of maintenance, which leads to reducing the cost of transported goods and achieving the state vision of sustainable development.
DCHC received throughout the month of November trains loaded with containers for the shipping lines Hapag-Lloyd, ONE, OOCL, MSC to transport transit containers and unloaders by rail to and from the ports of Damietta, Alexandria, 6th of October dry and Ain Sokhna port, after unloading and transporting them to Damietta Port in preparation for their transfer for re-shipment to the countries of the Far East, at a rate of 25 trains per month and a total container of nearly 1000 TEUs. This comes within the framework of the continuous follow-up of the ongoing projects to develop all Egyptian ports and container terminals in implementation of the directives of the political leadership, to make Egypt a global hub for trade, logistics and multimodal transport.
