Cooperation Protocol between DCHC and El-Motahedon to Utilize the (LCL) Warehouse and Activate the Storage Service for Imported Vehicles

In a new step supporting the expansion of logistics services at Damietta Container Terminal, DCHC signed a cooperation protocol with El-Motahedon Customs Services Company to benefit from the shared warehouse (LCL) for storing full and less-than-container load imports (FCL & LCL), as well as the dedicated warehouse for storing and handling imported vehicles within the Damietta Container Terminal. Recently, the terminal witnessed the unloading of 63 imported containers onboard the vessel YM Warranty, which included 125 electric vehicles for El-Motahedon Company. This reflects the terminal’s operational readiness and its advanced infrastructure capable of efficiently and swiftly handling vehicle logistics. El-Motahedon Customs Services Company is a licensed Egyptian company specializing in customs clearance, legally represented by Mr. Sayed Aboulmagd, the General Manager. The company is also an agent for several leading automotive manufacturing and trading companies in Egypt, including: The Bavarian Auto Group, Automobility, Ezz El-Sewedy, Raya, Egyptian Automotive Feeding Industries, and the Egyptian-German Company (EGA), among others. In this context, Admiral Dr. Rafik Galal, Executive Managing Director of Damietta Container Handling Company, stated: “As part of our ongoing efforts to offer integrated services and expand our operations to support container handling systems, Damietta Container Handling Company now provides vehicle handling and storage services via an additional warehouse linked to the LCL warehouse. This warehouse is fully dedicated to receiving imported vehicles and is fully secured according to the highest international standards for occupational safety, health, and civil protection. It is supported by well-trained staff and over 30 years of technical experience. Furthermore, the warehouse includes a full customs committee to facilitate fast and efficient clearance procedures.” This development demonstrates the company’s commitment to meeting all customer needs—individuals, corporations, and global shipping lines—within an integrated service system that supports trade and investment flow. He further emphasized that the company places top priority on enhancing terminal performance by implementing all necessary measures and intensifying its marketing efforts to attract more shipping lines and increase Damietta Container Terminal’s market share. This comes in line with the directives of H.E. Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, and supports the vision of Egypt’s political leadership to position the country as a regional hub for transit trade, logistics services, and maritime transport
