Giant container ships continue to arrive and achieve unprecedented performance rates at Damietta Container Terminal ||Jul 2024


DCHC (Damietta Container & Cargo Handling Co.) received the giant container ship "ONE FRIENDSHIP" of the shipping line (ONE), where the ship docked at container berth No. (1-2) on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 21:00, after arriving at the outer anchorage areas of the port at 19:00. This means that the ship enters the container berth upon arrival at the port and there are no waiting ships or congestion of ships in the outer anchorage area of the port. The ship was handled immediately upon berthing using the giant quay cranes, achieving unprecedented performance rates that exceeded all expectations, with the ship averaging 85 movements/hour. The ship's stay time on the container berth was 2 days and 6 hours (54 hours) with a total of 1,974 movements per day. The vessel's work was completed on July 1, 2024 at 03:34. The ONE FRIENDSHIP is one of the large container ships that calls the Damietta Container Terminal, with a total of 4441 moves on the ship. This confirms the confidence of global shipping lines in the Damietta Container Terminal and its skilled workforce capable of unloading and loading containers quickly and efficiently.
