Unprecedented throughput volume for Damietta Container Terminal ||Jul 2023


Continues to achieve new records, DCHC (Damietta Container & Cargo Handling Co.) achieved the highest unprecedented monthly productivity during the month of June 2023, where the total throughput reached 165,260 TEUs. With the end of the fiscal year (2022-2023), the company achieved an unprecedented throughput volume before since its inception, as 1,500,000 TEUs were handled during the last fiscal year, compared to 1,100,000 TEUs in the last fiscal year (2021-2022), with an increase of 36%, as Damietta Container Terminal received during the last fiscal year (917) M/Vader ships, an increase of 9% over the number of ships that frequented the terminal during the comparative fiscal year of ( 844) ship. This comes in implementation of the directives of His Excellency Lieutenant-General Eng. Kamel Al-Wazir - Minister of Transport and the continuous support of the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport to Egypt to be one of the most important focal points of maritime transport in the region.
