DCHC (Damietta Container & Cargo Handling Co.) participated in the activities of the fifth session of the International Exhibition and Conference on Intelligent Transport, Infrastructure and Logistics for the Middle East and Africa TransMEA2023, which was opened by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly - Prime Minister on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in the presence of Lieutenant-General Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir - Minister of Transport, a group of Arab and African transport ministers, ambassadors of a number of different countries as well as ministers. DCHC (Damietta Container & Cargo Handling Co.) participated within the booth of the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport, and a distinctive documentary film was shown about the company that included the capabilities of the company and the projects that have been implemented recently from strengthening and deepening the container berths and also including berths No. (5 & 6) and their backyards, as well as the purchase of 3 giant STS gantry cranes that deal with modern generations of container ships. The activities of the fifth session during the period from 5 to 8 November under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, under the slogan "Localization of the transport industry in Egypt" and the exhibition has wide global participation from major international companies specialized in the field of transport and the exhibition witnesses the participation of about 350 companies from 50 countries and the conference is also attended by a large number of Arab and African transport ministers. DCHC (Damietta Container & Cargo Handling Co.) also implemented a workshop on the sidelines of the TransMEA exhibition entitled (The development of container activity in Egyptian ports and future prospects) and the President of the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport and a large number of maritime transport leaders, representatives of international shipping lines and journalists were invited. Admiral Dr. Rafik Galal - Executive Managing Director of DCHC (Damietta Container & Cargo Handling Co.) also conducted a number of interviews with a number of representatives of major shipping lines, international alliances and some companies specialized in the field of maritime transport to present the investment opportunities available at Damietta Container Terminal.
