The giant ship “Milano Bridge” at DCHC in Damietta Port ||Oct 2020


Damietta Container & Cargo Handling Co. (DCHC) received the container ship Milano Bridge of the Ocean Network Express (ONE) shipping line coming from the port of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and then heading to the port of Barcelona in Spain, where the ship left on the container berth No. (2-1) on Saturday 03/03 10/2020 at 0200. It was handled with 6 giant quay cranes and 3247 containers are being unloaded and shipped. The dimensions of the Milano Bridge ship are 366 meters in length and 51 meters in width, and the draft is 15 meters and its maximum load is 14,000 TEUs. It’s worth noting that the Damietta Container & Cargo Handling Co. is currently implementing a giant project to consolidate and deepen the container berths so that it can receive giant container ships that are in service, with a draft of 16.5 meters and a load of more than 20 thousand TEUs, and the station has begun to implement the modern information system.
